Each tote bag is made from a sail used on the Hudson River. Once retired, designer and sailor Susannah Bradley turns them into durable up-cycled tote bags.

Each tote is individual and has unique signs of wear. Some feature grommets, previous repairs, or even telltales, short strings used to tell the direction of the wind.

Features: External pockets, wide webbing straps, and a squared bottom perfect for carrying bulky items. Each bag also comes with a little information about the life of the sail it was made from.

Dimensions: approx. 20 inches x 12 inches x 5 inches

About the material: Sails designed for and used on sail boats are profoundly strong, and the Dacron material lasts far longer than their usefulness on the water. This material is water repellant, tear and scuff resistant, and doesn't take up much space when folded.
